Event Information
The Best of Four Worlds – All in One Event!
The Calgary Dance Stampede is the largest and longest running Country, Swing, and Line Dance event in Canada.
We proudly stand as a fully-sanctioned United Country Western Dance Council (UCWDC) event, a World Swing Dance Council (WSDC) registry event, a Country Two Step Tour (CTST) event, and now a proud member of the Rising Star Tour (RST), and now an officially recognized National Country Dance Circuit (NCDC) event. These affiliations affirm our role as a premier destination for dancers from around the world to compete in Country, Line Dance, West Coast Swing, Country Swing, earn points, and advance their dancesport journey.
The Calgary Dance Stampede is also proud to be a supporting event of the Canada Westie Passport, an initiative dedicated to connecting Canadian West Coast Swing dancers and encouraging travel, participation, and community across events nationwide.
Beyond the competitions, the Calgary Dance Stampede also offers a full schedule of workshops in Country, Line Dance, West Coast Swing, and Country Swing. With instruction from world-class professionals, dancers of every level have the opportunity to learn, grow, and connect through the joy of dance.
But the Stampede is more than competition and workshops—it’s a true celebration of dance in every form. The energy begins with our lively Thursday Night Kickoff Party, rolls into the fun and welcoming spirit of Free Beginner Friday, and continues all weekend long with social dancing that keeps the floors alive late into the night. Saturday evening brings the magic of our signature Campfire Ball Dinner & Professional Showcase, where five-star plated dinner and world-class performances, prestigious awards, and an atmosphere like no other create an unforgettable experience.
At the Calgary Dance Stampede, there truly is something for everyone—Country, Swing, Line Dance, or simply the joy of social dance. More than an event, it’s a tradition, a passion, and Canada’s premier multi-discipline destination where your dancing—and your points—go further.
Land Acknowledgement
The Calgary Dance Stampede respectfully acknowledges that we gather, celebrate, and dance on the traditional territories of the Treaty 7 Nations: the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai), the Tsuut’ina Nation, and the Îyârhe Nakoda Nations of Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Wesley. We also recognize the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.
Dance is a universal language—an expression of rhythm, story, and community. For countless generations, Indigenous peoples on this land have carried their histories, teachings, and identities through dance, song, and ceremony.
As we come together on these same lands, we honor those traditions, and commit to sharing dance as a way of connecting, uplifting, and celebrating all who step onto the floor.
